Skin Care

Sun damage, pollution, and stress destroy naturally occurring antioxidants and vitamins in your skin. Vitamin C influences collagen production. Vitamin A stimulates cell growth, renewal, and differentiation. Both are necessary for normal function and beauty of your skin. Low amounts of those can’t restore the wilted skin. Based on modern research, topical applications of vitamins help the skin to rejuvenate itself. Cosmetic Bag brings you convenient-to-use, natural skin care products that are treasuries of vitamins for your face. Natural extracts and ingredients in our cosmetics have been used in folk medicine for centuries. The benefits of some were rediscovered and supported by modern research. Natural extracts in our cleansers, toners, creams, serums, and lotions continuously benefit your skin during its beauty regiment with multitude of vitamins.

Natural cleansers at Cosmetic Bag mix variety of herbs. Neroli is the oil from orange blossoms that is used for its antibacterial and antiwrinkle properties. Lemon is employed for its antibacterial, antiseptic, color-restorative, and aromatic qualities. Mint leaves are valued for energizing, antibacterial, antiseptic, aromatic, and softening traits. Bee wax is utilized as a humectant, to avoid water evaporation from the skin. Cornflower is a skin toner. Orange peel is an astringent. Chamomile has anti-inflammatory and healing properties. We also use vitamins such as E, pantenol (a complex of B vitamins), C, and A. Wild Rose extract in our cosmetics has a moisturizing effect and is high in vitamin C. Vitamin C is extremely important antioxidant for your skin.

Vitamin C is valuable for retarding the aging process of the skin. Sun exposure and free radicals damage collagen. Collagen is a mesh that supports the skin. Vitamin C takes part in collagen expression in fibroblasts of the dermis, the deepest skin layer, by stimulating procollagen synthesis. A study that supports such information was performed at Saint-Jacques University Hospital in France, and the results were published in European Journal of Dermatology in April of 2001. A group of women between 55-60 years of age topically applied 5% emulsion of vitamin C in oil to the skin, and the outcome was positive. Another antioxidant in common use is vitamin A. Various forms of vitamin A are purported to help with wrinkling and sun damage.

Green tea is one more natural ingredient that you will find in our natural skin care line. Green tea was used in China for centuries as a panacea. Now, scientist confirmed that polyphenols in green tea are very powerful antioxidants. Those substances prevent skin damage and tumors from turning malignant even with topical applications. Such information appeared in Nutrition Science News in December of 2001 in an article by Hasan Mukhtar, Ph.D.

Beautiful skin is a healthy skin. Protect your beauty with our natural cosmetics.

Love Your Lips!

In the spirit of Summer, we show you how to "Love Your Lips!" Here are our three tips for you to show your lips just how much you care:

  1. Always use a Lip Brush.
Lip Brush is a vital tool. A lip brush gives you ultimate control in application, especially in areas such as the Cupid's Bow and at the edges and corners of your lips. Also, by not applying it directly from the tube, it stays on longer and you use less since you only use what you need instead of blotting off excess lipstick.

  2. Frosted lipstick is more translucent than cream lipstick.
Cream lipsticks are thicker and provide more coverage than frosted lipsticks. If you have lines on your lips, cream lipstick is best for you. Creams are also easier to "exaggerate" your lip line if you line the outer edge of your lips. The translucent quality of frosted lipstick adds more shimmer to your lips.

  3. Lipstick keeps lips moist.
Lips tend to dry in the summer, lipstick helps keep your lips moist and soft to help prevent chapping and windburn.
